10,599 is completely reasonable. I hope that's what they actually used to cost, without options.

The $18,550 is in Australian dollars. That's where that review was done. Not sure about the exchange rate back then.

Mine was 10,500 in 1999, plus PM wheels, dealer prep, tax etc. ~13,000 OTD. They gave me a Buell jacket : )

I got mine in 2000 as a left over '99. I got the left over discount and took it home for $10,9?? out the door. It's the carbon model and I believe it was around $12 MSRP

The price included a 5 yr warranty

I've got the invoice for my 2001 S3T purchased new in Nov-2001. Sales price was $11,765. I think the S3T model was more expensive than the X1. Purchased in US (Vallejo, CA HD.)

NADA on the '01 S3 is $11,995 the T is $12,795.

+ $ for the PM wheel option.
