Thinking about mounting S3 Bars on my X1 for an even more upright ride. I currently have the 1" risers from American Sport Bike installed but I'd like to go even higher. Two questions. Generally speaking is changing bars pretty simple, in regards to removing the grips and controls? Would I need to modify anything i.e. throttle or clutch cables?

S3-X1 bars are the same,S3T bars are about 1-3/4" taller.
May have to make a riser for the dash as the clutch cable may interfere with the tach.

How about 1998 S-1 White Lightning bars. I'd like to go 1-2 inches taller. What bars will give me that and same question: will I need anything diff with cables?
