Hi all, I just got an 02 X1 (white lightning) and am verrry excited to ride more.

That said, I'd like to find a local mechanic in the NYC area to take a peek at it. I'm going to change the oil m'self, but want a more experienced set of eyes to go over the rest.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Liberty H-D and Danbury H-D have had pretty good reviews.

2002 is the best year. All the little issues have been solved.
you're probably not going to need anything beyond oil change tranny fluid change and tires : )

Cool, thanks for the tip. Maybe I'll take 'er over to NJ then.

I had heard that the 02's were the least "buggy", so I definitely feel like I lucked out in finding this bike.
