I started having problems with my rear shock early last summer but ignored it and rode the Uly more. Decided to take apart the front forks for a rebuild and decided to have them painted flat black. All new internals and fresh syn. oil and they are butter.
Also ordered a Penske from American Sport Bike and it arrived yesterday. Have not put any real miles on it yet but I am excited to. The Showa had no adjustment left and was a pogo stick. I have a lot to learn about this shock!
Anyway, here are two crappy pics from the parkinglot of my work. I will get better ones soon. It finally stopped raining for a few days!
Also have a headlight swap happening soon!
Nate

Took it for a ride and I will phrase my 13 year old daughter, OMG! Much more planted and stable in the corners, firm on the straights, overall better controlled. Buell should have spec'd a shock like this from the factory. Can't wait for the track!
Temporary rezzy mounting

I guess there is thread floating around but the XB wheels fit with minimal mods?

Sick bike!

What do you mean by "minimal mods?"
XB forks, wheels, brake, custom spacer, machined caliper mount, fix the handlebar interference issue, triple clamp issue, etc.
I have done harder things.

Thanks!

Bike looks great. How much tension do you have on the drive belt? I have mine so that it droops a little with no weight on the bike

Not normally a fan of mixing the generations, but that looks very well done.

I think I am going to work toward ordering a suspension work up. Can't decide if I want to go with the inverted forks or not.

Kinda like keeping it old school.

tension with the xb pulley is a bit tough as it is 65t and puts the adjusters all the way in. it is not as tight as it looks in the pic (that's what she said)

You could always order up a 26 tooth front from Al.
