I remember someone posting a PVC pipe cap clutch diaphragm spring tool earlier this year.I've searched but can't find it.There were pics and a description. It was pretty well thought out.
Does anyone have a link?

Thanks,

Mike

I replaced the spring plate in my clutch this winter and posted these.

It's just a 7/8" long piece of 3" PVC pipe. Either Lowes or Home Depot has 2' long pieces for a few bucks.
The aluminum piece measures 1/2" thick X 1 1/4" wide X 4" long.
Simple and worked great!

I'd bet a piece of oak or possibly 5/8" plywood would work in place of the aluminum.

Are you saying you cut a 7/8" piece out of a longer piece?

Yes. I had to buy a 2 ft long piece, that's the shortest they sell.

I used the same exact method as Someday's but I was lucky enough to find some thin-walled steel tubing on the floor of the old garage.
Thin wall means more room to work on the clippy thing.

We need a moderator to put a link at the top of the "Drivetrain" section of the KV.
Every time somebody needs the tool they have to search for it.
