On a X1 how can you raise the rev limit with EcmSpy? Not other models, on the X1. I was told that on the other maps page on the far right hand side it had options to change the RPM's. I don't have this. Does anyone else have these options with the X1? |

I have the rev limit options. Did you go to, I think, the E-prom tab and click the option to load the fuel maps? It should load up all the other options with the fuel maps. if I wasn't away from the laptop with the program, I would just check for you. Why do you need the rev limit raised? The bike will hit ~135mph without hitting the limiter... I also wonder if it would be wise to go beyond what the engineers thought was safe when they designed it. (seriously, I'm curious because I was thinking about messing with the rev limiter once myself) |

Probably not wise but I only drag race the bike and the bike hits the rev limiter at 6900 and the cams are still pulling at 6900. I would like to shift a little later while the cams are still producing HP but with the rev so low I can't. All the maps are there I know my way around ecmspy like the back of my hand but it isn't showing the option to change the rev limit on the X1 like it does on the XB. I didn't know if there is a newer version or firmware available since I got mine 3 years ago. |

Page 45 of 48 BuellTuningGuideV1.6. To save you having to calculate the values you need, here is a relevant table of conversions: Value RPM 7E 6300 80 6400 82 6500 84 6600 86 6700 88 6800 8A 6900 8C 7000 8E 7100 90 7200 92 7300 94 7400 96 7500 98 7600 9A 7700 9C 7800 Modifying the Rev Limits in ECMSpy Connect ECMSpy to your bike and select the EEPROM tab, then Fetch EEPROM Once the EEPROM has completed loading, find the relevant location as per the table above. The following image shows a Buell CB060 with Row 190 Column 0A highlighted. |

Jramsey, That's for an XB not an X1. |

Kevin Drum sent me his personal race maps last year, I asked the same question(XB vs Tuber) he told me they were the same. |

The problem with that theory currently in row 190 column 0A it has the value F2 that is not a value option according to the tuning guide. |

The race ECU has it raised to 7000 or so I think. Perhaps the most easy thing for you to do is to reflash your brain with the race data? Valves start to float around there, watch yourself! |

Race ECM is 6900, heads are modified and can take the beating. My concern is the bottom end not taking the beating but I will take the risk. I just want to raise the ECM RPM I know all the risk. |
