I still have the hat that Buell gave out at the Bike Week S2 demos.

"Were those the ones in Deland?"

Yes, sir.

I bought the red one from Kim in Mukwanago, before I had my bike.

Cool.

Deland is where the ugly incident with your favorite shirt occurred. . . seems someone took "America's Fast Motorcycle" to infer that the "other" American motorcycle was slow.

The "Rising Road" hat had a short life span . . . cool logo that got cut short, perhaps before it should have.

You're right, Court. I was going to get a helmet painted with that logo, never did.

Not for sale Jerry, thanks. I should though, I have too much stuff.

I never had that logo on a helmet but Aerostich did 2 suits, a 1- piece and a 2- piece, for me with it. It was kind of cool ...... But now folks look at it and are confused.

One of the things I took exception to with HD Marketing (and make no mistake, there are some geniuses in that group) was the frequent logo changes. It diminishes the very purpose of a logo. When I started my company I contracted then design to a top PR firm, gave them 10 bullet points about what I wanted it to convey and never looked back.

I'm starting to give some thought ....... To taking ALL this old stuff that guys like you, me, Walt, Phil and Don ( remember when all the Buell owners in America could ride on 1 bus? :-)) and collecting it in a single location ( perhaps one of the buildings at the new factory) .... Cataloging and putting it on display..... Perhaps an entire wall.

Don't throw it away.

Not for sale Jerry, thanks.

No worries, thanks. I wanted to buy it/them to auction off for Jim Rainey.

Take care,
