This is probably old news - but just in case - I found this flasher and it works on any type of signal and light -
Yeah - I got that problem finally solved cheaply!

I'm sure you guys already know, but that is just an EP36 turn signal flasher. You should be able to get it from any auto parts store. The EP36 is a heavier duty version of the EP35 that some vendors sell for LED flashers.

On a side note, I had the fast blinking when I used the stock flasher with one LED per side, but when I installed LED turn signals at both the front and rear the flashers started working normally again

True, but older car flashers don't work, and this one does!
