Hi guys, I have a 97 M2 Cyclone, and last spring I had the paint bubble (the first day I rode it). I'm now fixing that for spring. I've been stripping the tank using a heat gun and good ole-fashioned peeling. I have to get the primer off still, but it's almost ready for the real work. I've been reading the forums, and I've seen sealants for the tanks mentioned, as they seem to have a continuing problem with bubbling. Can anyone give me some information on the sealants? Do they pose any risk to the bike if used? What is the best one I can use? Any tips for application? Also, if anyone had tips for repainting the bike, I would love to hear them. This bike is extremely important to me, so I'd like it to come out perfect. Thanks to anyone who read through this or is willing to help out. there are some good tips if you search here . I am looking for a second tank to paint mine . I am not to far from you also . Very nice buell . | ||

Only sealants i know of are for fiberglass or metal tanks. Personally i wouldnt seal my tank. Use the proper prep, primer and paints and you want have any bubbling. |
