I bought this bike for super cheap, and with a couple of afternoons, she now runs and rides like a new bike. the bike has tons of stuff modded on it already (came that way), and the taillight that came on it (integrated LED) was never hooked up properly. I've got it wired up now so that the run light and brake light both work properly, but I can't figure out how to wire the blinkers without blowing fuses. There is a load leveler type resister thing that was kind of spliced into the original wiring that I have completely disconnected when rewiring the taillight, now I can't figure out how it goes back in! I just bought a new flasher relay from Autozone, and hopefully this will work when its hooked up right. Anybody have any insight? |

Oh yeah, and the taillight is a Motodynamic, from the looks of it. I just tried to hook up the resistor thing, and it definitely flashes, but the fuse burned out right away. Im definitely doing something wrong! |

I've been running a motodynamics taillight and a signal relay for led lights. Idk if the relay makes a difference but i have yet to blow a fuse. you might wana try it |

Also does anyone here know what type of flasher relay I need for this bike? The one in there might be too much for it. I should make sure that's not the problem first before I start throwing more money at it. |

If it has LED signals anywhere on it, get the LED flasher relay from Al out at American Sport Bike. Its like $20 and fits in the stock location. I run one on my S1W with LED signals, and the M2L with 1125CR LED mirrors and stock incandescent rear signals. I also have one in the Ulysses, with CR mirrors and rear LED signals. Works great in all of 'em. (Message edited by ratbuell on March 19, 2011) |

Go to any NAPA autoparts store and get the relay for LED lights. Works great and low cost |

FYI.. the integrated rear light from Clear Alternatives has built in resistance matching in the circuit board, and doesn't require any additional modification. Unlike some LEDs, it will still let the flasher alert you when a bulb burns out too. The indicator bulb in my dash is burned out right now so all the flashers blink too fast |

I have a motodynamics led taillight, you dont need the led flasher, it has the resistor built into the wiring pack... |
