I don't know if I asked this question before..But here goes...Does anybody know who was the company that handled the coloring of the blue headers. I called Jet Hot they don't do that color anymore..This is what I get for sitting on this project. |

There are lots of powder coating companies around. Check your local yellow pages. I've had really good results with these guys: Spray Technology Santa Clara, CA joespowder@yahoo.com Barry |

I believe Classic Coating in Wisconsin did the powdercoating for Buell back then. |

If I had to redo mine, I'd use blue Turbo X from TechLine coatings. |

You might want to Check Grandstand Designs in Metuchen, NJ. I believe he is one of our sponsors |

For future posterity - and to set the record straight - HPC (http://www.hpcoatings.com/) did the blue headers for the X1W. Classic Coatings did, in fact do Buell's powdercoating back in the day, but the blue headers were ceramic coated by HPC. Anybody on this board happen to be at Deal's Gap when 2 black X1's with blue headers (and Wisconsin manufacturer plates...) were there some Sunday back in 2001? 1313 |

I'm glad 1313 answered that. We had a local HPC until they closed their Utah location last year. I was fortunate enough to get one Buell header and headers for my T-Bird done by them (in silver). Worked wonders for the under hood temps of the 'bird! |
