2000 X1 rear master cylinder leaks after riding for a few minutes. Just got this bike and it did it on the ride home last month. I replaced the crush washers, went for a ride today and it leaked again. Doesn't leak until it is ran. A few years ago the rear master cylinder was replaced at a Harley dealership. Not sure what to do about this? Is there another spot back there that could be the problem?

If you are looking at the rear of the bike "undertail" what is the long hose that runs up the right side and goes into the tail section? Does that have anything to do with brake fluid? This hose runs parallel to the hose coming out of the rear resivoir. It appears that the leak is coming from that hose, as it has the most fluid on it.

Primary vent.

"Primary vent"

Can this leak? Where would a leak usually originate from on that hose? Is it an easy replacement? So would that be oil and not brake fluid?

probable a crank seal leak ,so the primary oil level is rising till it comes out the vent hose

Brother:

Thanks a million! When reading that other post I didn't think it could be the same thing, but I see that on my 2000 the hose is on the right side and not the left. Thanks again!
