Just Bought a 97 S3 Wondering if I could run one of the Newer Rear Shocks on it. Also what year Header Pipe will fit?

Thank you
John

newer shock? not if you mean XB style, afaik.

other than that, you need to measure it eye to eye to see if it is the short one (14" or so) or the long one (16.5" or so)

if the engine is stock, it should have the lightning heads, and the 2" collector pipe.

you can run the 98 S1W/S3 pipe or the race pipe that have 2.5" collectors, but you'll have to get a different muffler of course. some people don't think that pipe should be run unless you have Thunderstorm heads, but i ran mine with Lightning heads, it ran awesome!

Thanks Sleez,
Great Info... I'm sure I'll have a ton more questions as I dig in.. I ordered the XB rocker boxes from Tripp today.
