Hello all. Been lurkin for awhile.

I have a 1998 S1W with V&H exhaust, Super E carb and a chain conversion.

Two weeks after buying the bike I registered it in the Texas Mile and did 134.8 on it.

Still upgrading and loving this bike.

That is a cool shot! Can you list your upgrades that helped you do 135? Also what is that Tx Mile deal? Looks like fun.

I didn't do a whole lot really. Stock height and suspension. Went from a 72 to 74 jet and ran 103 oxygenated VP race gas. 43/20 sprockets. Home made steering dampner mount that turned right good but not left, lol.

Gearing and fuel were the big things. With a 43/21 combo and av gas I passed the mile at 5500 rpm and 127mph. The 135 run was at 6300 with 103 gas and the 43/20.

Www.texasmile.net is 1 mile landspeed racing. Try to go as fast as you can from a dead stop in 1 mile. Lotsa fun!!

They will have an event at the end of may.

Now for a stupid noob question...I found the the help section and edited my post to link the pic correctly but all I see is a blue ? In a box.

Plus do you have to login EVERY time you do something on this board?
