So in a few threads here and there I've read a few things about the motodynamic tail light that bothers me.....of course, after I have already purchased one......Anyone using this with the results I was hoping to have?? The video on youtube of the light on an X1 looks awsome.......what has been the main issue or, how great is it really?? Thanks.......... |

Got a battery tender? Or have $10 for a Radio Shack 12VDC power supply? Hook the light to that. You can test it that way. Feeds the "instant gratification" gene |

I have one too, no issues with it, cleaned up the back of the bike and was brighter than stock |

I had read that the electronics were not the best. That after some time of use the leds started to falter and burn out. Also the light wasn't bright enough... As I said earlier, on youtube it looks great. How long have you guys had yours?? |

I've been considering buying one of these too. I saw a ton of people commenting on them on one of the R1 message boards, and it seemed that the reviews were overall favorable. Has someone here had a bad experience? |

I got mine last summer. I will admit the first one I got was bad. It had something loose in it that made it work sporadically. I thought at first this was going to be a bad product for a bike that vibrates so bad. Since I broke my original tail light getting it off and needed a light right away they made me buy a new light and when I shipped my other one back I was reimbursed. I have had no problems since. |

I have gotten two. Both end up having the same issue. The white LED's that light the plate up start flickering sporadically, then just go out. I assume a cracked board from the vibrations is to blame. |

Got it, love it, no problems. I don't know why there are bad reviews about it. it is a clean, slick setup...If your bike vibrates so much that your license plate cracks...well its a no brainier what has happened to the circuit boards in the light... I put a strip of weather striping between the light and tail section to absorb some of the vibration. so far so good. Recommend this to everyone! |
