But i have the full thunderstorm upper set up cylinders, pistons , heads .... will this kit work? if not i would like to sell this kit to someone who could use it.   Pkforbes87 Posted on Saturday, February 19, 2011 - 12:41 am:        The 01+ range sounds a bit off, but I'm no expert. I know the Cometic top end kit for my 2002 X1 is the one that fits 91-03 XL engines. Pretty sure your S1 would be the same. Lightning or Thunderstorm heads doesn't change which gaskets you need, the only difference is porting and squish angle. Not sure about the James kit, but the Cometic is available in a .030 or .040 head gasket. Make sure you've got enough clearance between all the expensive bits inside if you change to a shorter gasket.
