A co-worker sent this to me, dedication was my first thought.

That's pretty funny. If it was time to change the rear isolators, belt, fluids, and fork oil on that M2 anyway, it wasn't that crazy... and wasn't really any "extra" work.

It really unsettles me that somebody cool enough to ride a Buell is uncool enough to drive a Prius. Flame Suit on.

Well, given that the Prius can't pull a trailer he didn't have many other options. Heck, I'd be nervous about putting that much weight in the back of a Prius; It's already overloaded by the weight of the battery pack.

Back in the late '60s early'70s, when I was still racing dirt bikes, we were at a track in the KY/OH/IN area and a guy parked near us in the pits, driving a VW Beetle. He opened the trunk and got out riding gear and a small tool box, and we figured a friend was meeting him and bringing the bikes.

Then he opened the passenger side door and started taking out wheels, exhaust pipe, handlebars, ect. 30-45mins later, he had a complete Bultaco Pursang. At the end of the day, he reversed the process. He also knew how to ride it, IIRC

I drove a 2000 Mopar Minivan from MN to FL this year, and hauled a bike with. My 1st choice would have been the BMW F800S, but it's a bit too tall to fit. I considered building a skid to carry the bike with the wheels off. Then I measured my R65LS with low bars and folding mirror and it looked like a better bet. I loaded it in the side sliding door (slightly taller opening than the rear hatch) backwards, then slid the ass end around when it bumped into the left wall of the minivan. Didn't have to take anything off, just folded in the mirror. On the way back to MN I hope to carry a couch as well as the bike.

That M2 is mine, and so is the Prius. For those of you that were "Unsettled", it's unfortunate to me that you judge a book by its cover.

Im obviously a motorhead so its quite ironic to most that I use a Prius as my work vehicle. In my stable; a hopped up 1200 Sporty, Monster 750, B5 S4, 68 Dodge A100, 97 Cherokee, and now the M2. With that said, I will defend the Prius to my grave. I can drive it from SLC to Phoenix in 9 hours for a total of $40, cruising at 90. I can't say there are too many other cars out on the road that can attest to that.

Also, I happened to be down in Phoenix when this sweet deal came across my eyes for the M2. I was hit with the options of; shipping the bike from AZ to UT, waiting till I was back down in our work van a few months down the road to pick it up, getting creative with any options possible, or taking the wheels off and dropping the fork tubes to accommodate fitting the M2 in the back of the "Hippy Car". I rest my case. The Prius killed it and the M2 is now in the garage being torn apart, and in the process of a conversion that I have yet to see on this board.

Thanks in advance for all of the forum archive help. Hopefully there is now a better understanding of "How" and "Why".

Jramsey, I was joking. I like to keep things sarcastic.

Thanks for the welcome.
