C.F. CR headlight assembly looks pretty mean on the old school bike!

eh... i dunno. I'm not sure I like it, not that it looks bad. Just out of place. Then again I dont really ever like those kinda front assemblies.

On a side note I did not know that about the s2 forks...?

Love the dash though.

Very envious of you Al to be able to do what you did, congrats on a way cool setup so far.How does it handle and the ergonomics on your back and wrists(i've had curvature of the spine all my life and the early stages of carpal tunnel syndrome in the recent years-thanks to being an automotive tech for 30+yrs)Thanks and again nice look of the scoot

Well, an S1W is only so comfy no matter what you do. But overall, the wrist weight isn't bad at all, it's about comparable to the crossroads bars on an XB Lightning, which I find to be reasonable for a couple tanks. On an S1W, my ass is toast before my wrist or back. You can only go so far on that postage stamp of a seat : )

Handling is probably marginally better because of the slightly forward weight bias, but an XB will still run circles around it. The fully adjustable forks are better set up than I had the previous forks, which I'd made too stiff. In my small stable of bikes, the S1W is only called on to do around town rides. If I need to rip up tarmac, I'll take the 1125R, and if I need to go great distances, I take the Uly.

Al

Wow, Al...nice looking bike. I like the updates : )

And, I totally understand (and agree) with your summary. I, too, use the CR for pavement scorching, and the Uly for long distances. The S2 also gets some midrange-long trips in, though...

I did go back from the Buell/Crossroads bars to the stock riser-bars on the S1W, though. I figure the CR with clubmans is enough of a pretzel-maker for the garage LOL. But, I think my S1W bars are tweaked a bit...I need to find a new set.
