I have a 1997 S3T and I'm in the middle of a restoration and I was missing the the right lower fairing (under the air box)
I got one from a badweb member and I think didn't do my home work. I was just doing a little mockup and wanted to test fit it and it looks like it will not work. I believe it to be for a 1999 and up as it came off an 2001.
It looks like the exhaust will interfere with the lower? Or am I missing something?
Your knowledge would be great. Thanks

p/n for 97/98 primed lower kit RH; M1001.BAPMD

p/n for 99/00/01/02 primed lower kit RH; Z0712.MPMD

the book doesn't describe the differences, maybe you have discovered it?

Yes, different exhaust headers, so different shape to the right side lower.

Ditch the lowers. : )

I think I have a black '98. I expect you'll be happier with the lowers on. PM me if interested.

Thanks Sleez! It looks like I'm back to searching. I could cut it and make it work. It would be easy. I just don't want to cut it up and "make" it fit my bike if some one could use it on the correct bike. I will see if I find the correct part if not I will have no choice but to make it work.
Thanks for the info!
I wonder if anyone else has seen this?

I kinda like the look of the bike with the lowers installed. With the air box painted to match. It looks good.

PM sent to Easy
