If ya need training wheels, probably need to ride something with about 1100 cc's less to start off with, till ya get confident... . . . or use a sportster instead !!

Looks good.
I thought a sidehack might be nice for the young ones.I have seen a couple on my local craigslist but I would have to get another buell for it.

Looks okay except for the long handlebars.

I still don't see why you would use a buell for that. Buell=Cornering Trike=NOTcornering

No where near as nice as the last no a few weeks ago!

The handle bars look a bit silly!

Are all these trikes the wave of the future, especially for those of us that were born a bit closer to the middle, rather than the end, of the last century?

I opened up my 'Rider' mag the other day, and it was nothing but trike ads for half the book!.

I know they are a really good thing for those of us (people who want to ride) that may have handicaps or physical issues that would prevent them from being on 2 wheels.

But they seem to be marketing the things to everyone, plus they say "no MC license needed" so we're gonna get an influx of untrained 'riders' (trikers?) out there in the mix, thinking they are on some kind of cool convertible without doors.

I even built one, 30 some years ago, out of an Indian Chief with a Harley servi-car rear section on it. My girlfriend rode it, and it hauled ass. (no pun intended)

I've observed that men and women, of all sizes, shapes and capabilities, can learn to ride competently on 2 wheels, and don't need to have the "stability" of 3 wheels, as propounded by some of the ads.

Anyhow - even though all these Buell 3 wheelers are nicely built and kinda cool, Please! - if anyone here overhears ME, saying I'm thinking about getting a trike, for whatever reason - hunt me down and put a large caliber sidearm round through my addled brain.

I'll sign a waiver so you don't get in any trouble.

Deal?

Al, leaning til it scrapes, on the left coast.

I like the pic above more than that poor mutilated M2. Like Jesse James says, "...trikes are for pussies."

I don't like trikes very much but i can respect some ones choice. i just think if your gunna build a trike you should do it from scratch (like those trikes with a vw power plant) instead of just adding more wheels to a motorcycle. just my opinion though.

My neighbor bought a Can Am Spyder trike.

He let me ride it.

Scared me. It had power and instability to match.

A suicide machine.

I'll stay with two wheels.

I read that those spyder things are very touchy about suspension setup.

My comment about "if ya need training wheels . . ." still stands, but of course there are times when a bikerider can no longer mount 2 wheels due to an accident injury or even worse, some sort of medical misadventure - in which case I'd be going with Leftcoastals suggestion of a handgun, but using it on the quack !!

I like it. If you're at the point in your life where you can no longer ride on two wheels, a trike makes perfect sense. I think it was well done.

when you are old enough to need 3 wheels to stay upright, don't be lookin' for the hottie to tag along.

and while you are young, don't be so sure about the decisions that you will be forced to make later in life.

i'd rather be on three wide open wheels than cagin' it.........
