The M2L was only made in 2001 and 2002. The M2 was produced from 1997 to 2002. Looking in the factory manuals . . The Part Number for the REGULAR M2 Cyclone is: K0431.9 The Part Number for the LOW M2L Cyclone is: K041001A4A I'm not sure what that old number translates to. The instruction sheet is part #J01561. At the top it list the kit #'s it covers. The numbers are K1400.c, K1400.8, K1400.E, 93925YA, 93929YA, and 93930YA. So 93930YA is listed as the last number of 6. In the opening paragraph titled "General", It says that The following instructions describe how to install the shock Absorber Service Kit to 1995-2000 model Buell Motorcycles. Under kit contents it lists three shocks. #K0431.9(S1/S1W/X1/M2) #K0431.M(S2/S2T/99-00 S3/S3T) #K0431.B(97-98 S3/S3T) Since this says 1995-2000 I can't say that it would work for your 2002; however, the date on the instruction sheet is "REV. 11-20-00". The instruction kit, last revised in 2000 may still work for the 2001 and 2002 models but that is pure speculation. Maybe with this information someone familiar with Buell work instructions can add to this. I hope this helps. My **GUESS** is that the K0431.B may be valved slightly different. I've got a couple new Buell shocks in boxes, let me look at see if I can figure anything out.   Ratbuell Posted on Tuesday, February 01, 2011 - 10:25 pm:        The other (old/new, can't tell from the listing) number for 93930ya is K1400.E. Marc - I'd *guess* the .b is valved/sprung for a heavier bike compared to the .9. M2 was naked; S3 was sport-tour. It will probably be stiffer and require some adjusting of your front end to get similar handling due to the variance in sag. Court - got a hydraulic press with a force gauge? That could speak volumes - see how much force it takes to compress the shocks...wouldn't tell much for valving, but could help with a load rating.
