What is the exhaust header gasket of choice these days? I got some of the thin ones with a new race header but the ones I removed were the thick ones, cica 2002.

Thanks J. That's the thin gasket that came with the header. 65324-83a is the number in the parts book, probably superseded. Do they still make the big one and does anyone use it? It looks like a much more substantial piece and a more complete seal.

The reason you are being told to use the 17048-98 gasket is that the -83A gasket compress'es into the exhaust port making it smaller, "PLUS" it is a "CRAP GASKET" ...

EXHAUST SYSTEM INSTALLATION Class 101 is available on request, just PM me ...
