I just received a brand new race header and was expecting it to have the front pipe routed like this one http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/609616.html?1293397393 (Nice bike Slayer!) The one I received has the front pipe running in front of the nosecone like the stock pipe? It appears to be a race header though because it has the 90 degee bend at the exit turning it towards the back of the bike. My question is, was there two different pro series race headers made for the X1 or will the S1 header fit on the X1 making the front tube route around the cam cover? Thanks. | ||

The header in the link above is a Force pipe, not the Buell race pipe. It sounds like you have the Buell race pipe. | ||

Thanks for the fast replies Gents !!! I had a '98 S1W that I put the race kit on and I thought the front pipe on it curled back around the nosecone too? Just kinda wounderin'. I was really surprised when I opened the box on the new one and it looks pretty much like the stock one with an elbow at the end. |
