I was reading the leaky shock thread and wondered about something; is there less "stress" on the shock if the rear end is up on a stand or it just doesn't matter? | ||

So it sounds like regardless of the compression/tension the seals are under similar pressure. | ||

That's correct. Same interior pressure and pressure on the seal. I bet if you measured the length of your shock on the ground and stand it wouldn't be any different. In other words it isn't working any less or more. It might do your tire some good... | ||

The above is correct. The shock bladder is filled with 150psi of dry nitrogen. Mine blows every 15-10K. | ||
