Carb jetting help needed for 01 m2
I've got race AC, race exhaust and ecm.
Dynojet kit is installed but its setup for stock bike with aftermarket air cleaner. I think only main jet was changed...
what are you guys having luck with?
I'm too lazy to keep trying different jet/needle combos ... really I don't have time to keep messing it up...
Let me know what yinz are running in your bikes.
thanks
Jason

Dump the dyno jet parts, go with a 190 main and a 45 or 48 pilot.
Shim the needle about .050" and your right in the ball park.
Oh yeah, make sure the pilot screw plug is pulled and start with it set about 2 1/2 turns out.

Let us know how it turns out.
The old CV40 isn't a bad mixer. It does a pretty good job.
There is a needle change you can make, I think it's a NC45??? from a Sportster.
I can't remember for the number for sure and too tired to hunt it down.

The stocker can be made to work almost as well by raising it .050".

I have a bunch of sporty needles in a box from old bikes...all Cv carbs... ill gave to look. What will that do for it with that needle? From what ive been reading, I know a shim on stock needles helps...

My mistake, it's an NC65C needle.
Here's a link to some old stuff on the topic.

Do a BWB search on NC65, you'll find more stuff that you can read..

BTW, I ran a NC65C on my M2 for along time before switching to a HSR42.
Both S2's, the S1 I built an all others I've tuned all have stock shimmed needles.
