OK, I'm at 12 discs now and it's still a little loud. I think I'll pull it back to 8 (plus the endcap, no hole). Bike has thunderstorm top end and X1 cams. Any guesses on jetting? With the stock header and a Buell race muffler, I was running 45/190 and it was super happy, but I can feel it loading up now that I have the 'trapp back on there. I really don't have the inclination to d**k around with stuff, I'd rather just toss in something that should be right, and go from there instead of experimenting right now. I've got too much other stuff going on at the moment.

Anyone have any ideas? IIRC I was running a 42/180 when I got the bike, but that was pre-thunderstorm...

The S2 I just picked up(which is thunderstormed)was running 48/180 with 10 discs in the Supertrapp. It felt fat on the bottom and lean up top. So I went with 46/195 which works well in my 00 M2. Also I added 10 more discs to the 'trap.

But as the S2 in on the stand in pieces until spring I can't tell you how it will work out.

I played around with the Supertrapp on the M2 a few years back, and any time I got below about 13-14 discs I felt it ran no better than the stock muffler. 15 with the pro end or 20 with the closed cap seemed to work the best. But like anything, the trade off is the noise. I now run a V&H which to me is the best balance of noise and performance, of course your results may vary.

If you find a good set-up let us know,

Mike

Some info:
I repacked my SuperTrapp and the noise is way better. A lower rumble with 13 disks, less raspy. I used the SuperTrapp kit. $18
