Hello,
I was about to change a bad crank seal when I discovered some wear on the shifter fork.
Anybody knows what the problem is?

If i was to guess i would say the outer case bushing is going bad. And it is letting the shift drum move around!

First of all that is SHIFTER SHAFT and the lever on it ...

Is it loose in the primary cover ???

Is the clutch basket bearing loose ???

Is the ACCESS DOOR ASM(trap door) main shaft bearing loose ???

Check for a missing snap ring on the back side of the shift shaft base plate.

Jramsey,
you were right. The snap was not where its suppose to be. I don't think it was installed properly by previous owner.
There is some wear inside the hole after the bushings free play.
