Too cool! I've been wanting to black out my engine and swingarm for years. What's the wheel color gonna be?

I'm diggin' the shop set up too, is that oven big enough for a frame?

Nice job! Did you build your oven out of an old fridge (some people on the Caswell forum built theirs that way)?
What PC gun are you using? Did you build a PID system with SSR's for temp control?
Looks like a great setup, nice booth as well.
How did you find stripping the PC clear off the swingarm? Quite a PITA isn't it, haha!

Here is a pic of the oven I built, it's 4x4x4 and runs off two 220v outlets.

yes, oven is big enough for a frame, i planned it that way. hahaha. I could have built a larger oven, but i didnt want to take up to much space. This size will do most of the things i need.

I built the oven from scratch, all sheetmetal with rockwool insulation. I am using a teds controller box which does use the PID digital controller. Cool oven you have yourself. I have seen that before on the oven sites when i was looking for ideas.

The swingarm i used seemed to be more of a hardcoat/anodizing coating then powder. I just sandblasted it and then baked it for an hr to outgas. I didnt get any bubbling so it should be good to go. Have to order new bearings and get it installed.

My gun is a HS02. Just got a fluidizing hopper with pump for it.. need to try it out. Heard it makes a huge difference in performance.

Awesome work and fabrication skills, congratulations!.
Where did you get your gun? I'm using the Caswell gun now but it doesn't always work so well.
The size of your oven is great, mine does take a lot of space but I built it so I can take it apart in 20 minutes (it is in my storage shed right now).
For the smaller pieces, I modified a regular kitchen oven, I just switch my PID temp controller unit from one to the other (cheaper to run too, there is 18600 watts worth of elements in the big one).

i think the Base coat you have looks awesome! I'd like to have my cyclone wheels look like that! It would have to be cheaper than actually having them put in a chrome Bath! Would that paint hold up to the hazards of the road?

Stock wheels are powdercoated. It's very durable.

So.. Let me get this straight, The wheel above that is "chrome" in color is a Powdercoat? If so, Will it remain that "shiny" apperance when fully completed and ready for mount?

yes, its ultimate chrome powdercoat. To put it into use, it requires a clear coat powder to protect it. If not cleared, it will start to turn grey. The clear will change the look some also... to me it looks more like a "polished" look then chrome. It in no way will look like real true chrome.

I am using the chrome as a base. Its a base for transparent and candy powders.

I use mostly PBTP, some columbia, some EW.

My gun is a HS02. Just got the fluidizing hopper with pump. Going to try it out this weekend.
