( will get names of epoxy and pictures later sorry ) I am not sure how many people have had a problem with the rear tail cracking by the two rear bolts, but my Dad and I did some work at his shop the other night and fixed my tail and it seems to be very strong hardly bounces. The first thing we did was take the plastic pieces where they were broken and use plastic repair cement and put them backed together. Ill get the 3m numbers tomorrow. Then we took a piece of steel and molded it to the back of seat under the bolt holes that go into the rear of the frame. We took plastic epoxy and glued the metal to the back of seat. Once it was dry we took another tyoe of Epoxy , and covered the piece and all the sides. then we sanded it all back down and painted it. it looks like it is stock but it has an extra bit of enforcement behind it. sturdy as can be. | ||

Very nice! I found that cracking can be further prevented by putting on the drap over style sport saddlebags. They help keep the tail section from fibrating. |
