still working on my XB wheel conversion on my X1... i know, i know... its been forever but lifes busy as hell and i dont have a ton of time to work on it....

anyways, to get around the XB rear pulley and gearing problem, i designed my own pulley in solidworks...

here it is... its a factory 61 Tooth with an XB bolt pattern and designed to match the XB wheels.

My friend just finished machining it and dropped it in the mail for me today... i think it looks sweet. Will be sending it out for hard coating, and then ill be powdercoating it to match my wheels.

That looks incredible! Is your friend planning on making any others like a custom pulley for an S1? I need another part on my Frankenbike to polish.

Now, if you want that new rear wheel pully(sprocket) to last a long time, do not adjust you drive belt too tight as the factory service manual is wrong ...

DRIVE BELT ADJUSTMENT Class 101 available on request, just PM me ...

Hopefully i get some time this weekend to powdercoat the wheel!

its available for purchase if you want to fork out the cash. I had a couple local CNC shops quote this for me and it was around $800.

I got it made through a friend for "educational learning", thats why they machined the "light weight race version" I mean WAX one first, to test tool paths. Someone got a grade, i got a free pulley, lol.

I'd bet if you asked how much (each) to make 10 or 15 of them, the price each would come down substantially. Maybe if you get time you could ask your quoters that? If we could get 10 people to commit to, say $500 (about the price of Rizoma) I would get one for my M2. I guess the bolt pattern is different between tuber and xb wheels is the problem.

yes, price would come down. I think for 5 they quoted me $650.

That was just one place. I know a few others that own or work at cnc shops. If my dad didnt retire 12 yrs ago and sell his 30 man cnc shop id be spitting these out all day long, lol

For fun I may draw up a "PM Style 3 spoke" pulley and if i ever get the chance may have a couple made. I have a set of brand new PM wheels in the attic i may use one day.

If any kind of billet pulley for a tuber (M2) is commercially available now, please provide some info. I would likely buy one for $500.

Otherwise, yeah my dad retired, he's an aircraft machinist, from the experimental shop.
