I replaced my starter gasket because I had oil on top of the primary making its way to the bottom. I noticed I still have a bit of oil in front of the starter, it may be residual oil from opening/re-closing the primary and/or some temporary weeping around the gasket, but I think it may be my stator plug. I saw that the plug comes with the whole stator unit. Is there a way to fix that leak without having to buy a whole new stator unit? Thanks in advance. | ||

easy, push it through towards the starter. Put a nice amount of sensor safe silicone on it and push it back in... | ||

Buellistic, thanks for the torquing sequence, I always wondered as well why they don`t have one in the service manual. Spiderman, thanks for the info, I guess I`ll have to remove the primary cover, yet one more time! | ||

you may be able to pull it through on the started side. But it will be easier with the primary off... | ||

I think I will take the time to take the primary off. One thing I realized about working on those bikes is that when you think you'll save yourself some work by taking a short cut, you end up cursing out loud a lot more, haha! | ||
