I recently picked up a Joe Rocket Survivor suit. I needed more protection for the winter when going to work. My cut off temp is 25 degrees. Anything below that and I do not ride... The temperature changes a lot here in Colorado and it can be 20 in the morning and 60 in the day time.

I never had one of these or anything like it so I was a little worried on the fit. I got a size large. I am 160lbs and 5'10" tall and this thing fits like it was made for me.

I tried a couple on in a store once and I could not get them on. I figured out that you have to put them on without shoes.

Here is how it works.

Yes it is...

I rode down to Taos NM today wearing it and while I was moving it was very pleasant and while Lynn was getting cold over Laveta Pass I could not really notice a drop in temp...

When we stopped for gas in Questa (btw it was my first gas stop at about 170 or 180 miles) I got hot and quick... So much so that I did not feel well and had trouble putting my helmet back on.. Once I was back on the road (even with the traffic in Taos) I was fine... I left the liner in and that was a mistake.. Tomorrow I am taking the liner out for the ride back to Colorado. (a healthy person would not have had the problem with the heat but I have some medical issues so it was worse for me)...

All in all I really like it. I look forward to trying it out with some cold temps.

Who are you talking to hippy!!!!!!

I love this suit. Are departure from Taos was a little chilly and we still had a mountain pass to go over... It was great.

There was a BMW Rally going on in Taos while we were there. I must of blended in with the suit...

A couple of BMW riders got behind us and followed us over the pass but they must of needed gas and pulled off in Walsenburg... Once we got into Walsenburg the suit came off as the temp went up about 20 degrees... I cannot wait to try this thing out in the winter..

Our trip was uneventful. The reliable tuber carried me there and back without missing a beat and Lynn was on her XB12Scg.. What fun....Save one road which goes on for about 60 to 70 miles.

When I first retired and was working for Lockheed I grew it out pretty long. (pony tail long)... I worked shift work so I did not see the bosses much. They flipped out when I went to the Lockheed building one day...

I told the boss I would cut it all off but I was going to get a nose ring instead... He told me to keep my hair LOL...

I typically only get haircuts for job interviews and the summer heat.
