I really hope I'm not beating a dead horse here.....There's a LOT of great info on this mod on the site, but I couldn't seem to find the answer to my question: If I do the econo winder mod and do not have the XB Rockers with the pvc valves, can I leave the breather lines "as is" (routed from each head to the intake/snorkel)? I'm relatively new to these bikes - and this one hold a special place in my heart so I'd rather not blow her up. Thanks to anyone who can help

I would consider re-routing your breather lines in any case. Why blow that snot back through your intake? There is a lot of info about breather routing here. Run the hoses downward from the banjos, T the rear line into the front line as you route it toward the rear, and either dump it overboard where it will not foul up you or your tire, or catch it in a catch can mounted on the bike. In either case, you will want a breather filter T'd into the line or into the catch can. The filter should be set so that oil will not flow into it.
You will still need to plug the intake holes where the breather lines come in.
Browse for many fun hours looking at routing/config ideas and options.

That clears it up - thank you both for taking the time to respond!
