In Feb, I had a heart attack and 6 way bypass surgery. Just before that I had started the project of replacing the pushrod tube seals on my 00 M2, so as therapy, I finished the job. Turning wrenches, replacing gaskets and seals, lifting parts and tools and such was great therapy. 8 weeks after surgery I fired my bike and rode, tho it wasn't till 2 weeks later I told my cardiologist about it, LOL!!! Anyway, the bike started to slip in 1st and sometimes 2nd gear, so I assumed it was the clutch or something in the tranny, (cuz sometimes the slipping was accompanied by a clunking sound). gathered all my parts, replaced the clutch, primary chain, installed a Baker 6 I had on the shelf, new motor mounts all the way around and some new brake rotors and stuff. (That's another story) Last Monday, I snapped my rear drive belt just as I pulled into work, which I hadn't replaced (60K) cuz it looked fine. So anyway, I had a new belt and pulleys hanging on the wall, so got started today to replace the belt. When I pulled the front sprocket (pulley) off I got a major surprise, all the teeth were gone from the inside of the dang thing!!  So, a happy ending, new belt, pulleys, and 5th gear was undamaged, just ground up sprocket teeth in the gaps...and the Black is back on the road!  | ||

When I bought the fairing it was available from Hap Jones, called the Cyclone (go figure) Nowadays, I think you can get one from EMGO. I cut 1 1/2 inches off the back and added the headlight cover.  | ||

I did the same thing to my 26 tooth aluminum front pully. I replaced it with the stock steel one and all is well again. I sure do miss that 26 tooth pully though. |
