And if you're doing the mod on an S2...use two front rockerboxes. The rear box puts the PCV valve at the top, and it hits the underside of the tank. Using a front box on the rear puts the PCV at the rear (bottom) of the head, and it clears the tank that way.

DAMHIK.

Anyone need a wrinkle-black rear-head XB rockerbox (original application, 2009 XB12X - brand new)?

Rat, I find it interesting that on some S2's (both of ours..) there is no interference issue but on others there is!
Not sure why that is but I've seen both.

On mine, I haven't done the conversion, but it looks like there is plenty of space. Looks, however, can be deceiving, of course.

And I've heard there are a couple different fuel tanks for S2's...like they came out of 2 different molds. Some folks have room, others (like me) don't.

That would certainly explain it.
Never thought of that..

I'm assuming this rocker box modification is to better control the breather oil, right?

The previous owner of my X1 just set it up to drip into the air cleaner housing after gutting the cleaner. Supposedly the PO was a harley mechanic too.

Heheheh... yeah, I'm never visiting a dealership for maintenance. : p

Remember Brad...S2's were largely handmade.

"Production Variance" doesn't even begin to describe a lot of stuff on 'em, LOL. Part of the reason I love 'em so much! : )

Yeah, I had to use a Grinder and Enlarge the Notch in the front rocker to clear the frame on my M2. Maybe there was a way to Weasel this thing into place, but after 20 minutes of trying every angle I was getting dizzy.

Grindage Cures all!!!

Now that you mention it, I had to do the same thing on mine for the M2.
Maybe on the S2's as well, been so long I don't remember... sucks getting old.

Rubik's-Cube-ism got my front box worked into place on my S2.

I think I had to have it rotated 180 degrees to get it in place, then rotate it back like a freakin' record on a record player. But I managed to do it all without using the Dremel a single time.

For me? That's an accomplishment : )
