If they have a lowercase "M" at the base of a spoke, they're early tuber OEM Marchesinis. Same cosmetics, different manufacturer. That's how the X1R came out with the white wheels in 2000. I had a blue 'stripe X1 demo for a while. DDFI-I had...character. I remember Erik personally tinkering with it and a breakout box at the '02 Daytona demo rides (XB debut). "Had" to take another lap on the 9R demos because he wasn't done/satisfied by the time we got back from the first round That's part of the reason I stuck with carbs until I plunged into my Uly But I do like the X1 in general, it's a nice bike and we all know I love me a nice tuber.
