Temp conversion C to F, my temps listed at the beginning of this post is in F. So when converted to Celsius my temps seem to be in line. I'm still getting header wrap and seriously considering getting a laptop specifically for ECMSpy so I can do my own calibrations. Is ECMSpy intuitive or would it help to get some tips on how to use it? |

Don't use header wrap if you have ceramic coating on the header. It will trap the heat and bake off the coating. It will also cause bad discoloration on uncoated headers. been there, regretted that Shane (not tbolt) (but three tbolts in the garage ) |

I'm no computer expert, if you can post on here then you can use ecm spy, its easy, plus its a crucial piece of kit with fuel injected buells even if doing just tps resets. Get a used laptop or notebook, a ten year old one would be fine as long as the battery is good for when you do data logs on the road. your bike is running rich in closed loop (afv 80), the ecm sees this and removes 20%fuel across your whole map. Maybe thats too lean for the rest of the map, hence high temps. Visit ecmspy.com and read the tunning guide etc and get a connection lead ordered. |

I figured The map was too rich in closed loop and I've read the guides multiple times. the afv usually changes after its reached around 200 Deg C. Megalog's Ve analyzer adjustments to my map make it run worse so I'm not sure where else to go from here. |

possible injector sticking when hot or the coil breaking down?, i tried to get a stable idle on mine recently, ticking over in the garage with no cooling airflow while trying to adjust, the temp would rise to about 225 then it would start to run lke crap. Turn it off then it would not restart easily, poping and missing. once cooled for a while it was fine. Out on the road at 220 celcius it runs fine,I put it down to the heat(lack of cooling airflow) affecting the injectors or coil possibly. just a thought. |

I'll check those out for sure thanks. I run under 220 C but its just really hot where I live all the time and I don't think any thing should be running that hot. |
