s-2 Idles higher when warmed up
Where should I start first

Between my s-2 and s-3 I am having a difficult time keeping them running I am going from one thing to another.

You need the idle adjustment knob so that you can turn the idle up and down as you please. Mine has always idled higher when hot.

They always do.

Warm it up - go for a good ride - and THEN set your idle to the 1000 spec. And make sure your choke is disengaging all the way when you push the knob in.

I installed the idle adjust knob setup from an S1, on my S2. All the later tubers had 'em. It's about $15 and gives an on-the-fly idle adjustment - worth every penny. Someone here might be able to source the part number for ya...I got mine so long ago I'd have no idea if I even kept the receipt.
