OK, I know this is probably in a manual somewhere and I can find it if I feel like reading...but it's my day off and I'd rather just ask here while drinking my coffee and being lazy LOL.

My S2 is the only bike with the turn signal auto-cancel, and I always hit my signals "too soon" for its tastes - I get halfway to the turn and the signal cancels itself. Grrrr. (it's hard enough remembering "right turn = right thumb lol).

Anyone know off the top of their head what wire feeds speed/distance data to the TSM? I'm just gonna cut it so I have manual-cancel signals like all my other Buells...

Don't go looking it up, I can do that...but if anyone can just blurt it out from memory that fits my "lazy day off" mentality today : )

White with green wire.

If you just keep the turn signal button pressed until you start to make the turn you will not have to worry about it shutting off.

Too bad the module can't be re-programmed for longer distance before cancelling.

If you don't want to keep your thumb on the switch, signal early, then do a double-click on the signal switch closer to the turn, so you cancel it/restart it.

Thanks Frank.

Just clipping the wire is easier for me. I'm simpleminded, and this (aside from the 2 buttons versus one button) makes it behave just like my other Buells...it's just easier for me to remember to hit a button *after* the turn than it is to worry about "did it stay on long enough for me to make it to the intersection". And the hold the button theory...I'm a late braker and a downshifter for stops/turns and I'm just not used to fumbling with my thumbs anymore. Used to be better at it when I had the FLHP and S2 as the only bikes...but now the 7/8" bar Buells outnumber the ol' S2 : )

Although Fahren has an interesting idea...I wonder, does the wire put out a voltage signal that could be resistor-ed down to show a "lesser" value (i.e. haven't gone as far)? Or is it a pulse that would require some sort of adaptor to make it pulse...slower? Hmmm....

It still won't be like your other Buells, since you will still have a right and left signal button.

Fahren, he will figure it out soon enough. It seems to be that someone is neglecting his S2 while he is riding some water cooler or UgLY.

Nah. Been beating the snot out of the S1W lately : ) Uly needs a service (which means I need free time, yeah right) and the CR is gonna get me in trouble.

I won't mention what speed my GPS logged the other day on the CR.

But since the S1W, up until about a week ago, hadn't been out since Last Ride...I'm spending quality time with it and fixing some little annoyances like a misaligned header that kept coming loose at the rear head, out of whack throttle/idle cables, a loose breather bolt...little stuff. But damn it feels good to be on it again!

The S2 understands. It is the patient Jedi of the garage - it knows its time will come, and pay attention to it I will.
