Anybody ever have problems getting the lifters to pump up properly after a rebuild?

only once.

I store my lifters in oil while out of the bike.

Just rev it hard a few times, it should pump it up...

It seems like it took a few minutes of idling and a couple miles of riding, but it cleared up.
