Hello to all I have a 95 thunderbolt that was running fine when I stored it last winter this year I can not get gas to the carb I have pulled the fuel line I have fuel there. The float pin seems to be stuck. It will start if I spray gas into the carb then run until the fuell is depleted.
I tried carb cleaner in the fuel line taping the carb nothing has worked.
So now I am at the carb removal stage to try and get to the Float and pin.
I removed the tank side panels air cleaner
it has a kyreakan hyper charger style. I can now see the carb this seems to be hard to get to.
Should this be a easy removal?
It does not appear to be.
Any suggestions would be helpful

If you have everything pulled off of the right side of the carb, then it is now simply inserted in the rubber boot on the intake manifold. Just give it a pull and twist and the carb will come out.

Chuck the hypercharger while your at it and go back to the stock ham can style.
Performs better and looks much better too! : )

+1 on the stock air filter, those hyperchargers are junk.

after you get the air cleaner off, you still need to remove the bracket, it bolts to the two breather bolts, one on each head.
Then, you should be able to wiggle the carb off. you only need to pull it up enough to get at the float bowl on the bottom, that is where the float needle is, this is probably what is sticking...

You might want to go ahead and rebuild the carb (replace all the rubber) the kits are cheap and can be had at any HD dealer.

Thanks to all for the replies

The plate is what I am having a hard time removing. It is held on by 2 90 degree breather bolts that are attached to the breather hoses.
I got the hoses off loosened the locknuts
they now move freely but I am un able to turn them more than a few degrees before they hit the plate so I am not able to un thread them

What am I doing wrong here?

Clamp a pair of vise grips to the hose connection coming off the 90deg breather bolts. Start twisting and turning....they will come out. They are a press fit into the side of the breather bolt.
