I've seen a couple of project bikes with the blade type spokes of the XB wheels and they look pretty nice.

Wondering if anyone has tried to fit them to the s-1/W fork and swingarm?

swingarm will need spacers and the front will need 03-04 xb forks and brakes.

its been a pain in the butt for me to get the rear brake set up correctly, requires custom machined spacers

You can do the front conversion without the forks, but it's better to do it with the forks. I've done both variants on my S2.
