yeah, my favorite color also. it compliments the x1 nicely, more of a Porsche cayenne to the Porsche 911 of the x1. took it for a spirited run today and got rid of the previous owners chicken strips! for a tall bike it sure does handle good. maybe not quite as flickable as the x1 but more stable and the extra travel is nice on the bumpy backroads. super happy about it. nate |

Looks very clean, congratulations on your new bike! XB's make a good compliment to the tube framed bikes. That Uly definitely suits a different purpose than the X1, good choice. |

When I first saw one, I thought, man that thing is ugly. Those things have really grown on me. I would love one to compliment my S2 and S1. Congrats on your new ride. Steve |

I agree Maru, I thought the same thing. Then the utility part interested me and I really started liking the way they looked. Can't wait to take it on some fire roads and dirt! nate |

They compliment tubers VERY well. My Uly is perfectly happy sitting between my tubers (S2 and S1W) and my 1125CR. For 2-up distance riding...it gets the nod, every time (local 2-up, Kim still likes the S2 but the suspension isn't nearly as compliant as the eleven-year-newer Ulysses). It used a *whole* quarter-quart of oil on our 2300-mile, lap-around-lake-Michigan-from-Maryland-and-back, 2-up, Homecoming trip. Great bike. |

Nate what number is your X1? mine is 274 and when I bought it #4 was sitting next to it. I used to do Battle Trax on the X1 and have taught ERC's on it. The Uly I do Battle Trax like events on it and teach Total Control on it too. I took Ride Like a Pro last April and led the class in riding the tight circles. You can do sooooo much with the Uly This fall I will change out the OEM springs in the forks for heavier ones and I just bought the triple trees to increase steering radius for more riding action! |
