just got an x1 and wanted to know what was the best air filter set up for the money (budget) with out using the original air box also why does this bike not have a fan an do i need one thanks guys

there are several options, force winder = sturdy with clearence for the knee. Ham can = best possible performance, more options some times fragile in a spill

fan is not needed and can at times cause some discomfort, assuming your days are not spent crawling in stop and go traffic

When I switched to Royal Purple, my average engine temperature dropped around 10 degrees C. Just a thought. And I have a Forcewinder and am very happy with it.
