i think a cam upgrade is next in line for the list of mods to compliment the ones i already have.

XB stg3 heads (springs good for .650")
modded xb9 pistons (slightly shaven down and bigger valve reliefs cut in for more clearance with oversized valves and lift)
xb12 primary sprocket
dynojet kit
force exhaust

only thing that concerns me weather or not i should get an ignition before or after the cams, and if these cams will be a good choice for me.

looking for more top end with out loosing (preferably gaining some) mid rpm-range grunt (Tq)

looks like the 630/585 high torque cams would also be a very viable option as well?

I like the .575s a lot better. They are already almost a full .1" over your current cam, and have plenty of top end without sacrificing midrange the way the higher lift cams do.

You'll need a selectable ignition with that high of compression.

HD Part number 32654-98Y.

Obsolete but stilln showing stock across the country. Just got one myself.

S1 cams have something like .480 lift, and S1Ws .497 lift, so .575 is already quite a jump.
