I saw this RR 1000 for sale at the Rhinebeck AMCA meet yesterday. The bike had like 35 miles on it and the asking price was $20,000. I know the guy who was displaying it for someone, I'll try to find out if and what it sells for. He said a group of Japanese buyers came back several times to check out the bike.

Sweet, that's the bike that brought me to Buell! My girl let me add another one to the fleet at fire-sale price ... not likely to happen with that one!

Basti, I will try to contact the seller, give me a few days to track him down. The rest of the meet was cool. This year we decided to just go for the day, so we drove the 200 mi up in my friend's deisel Jetta. Saw a black bear while going through the Delaware Water Gap. When we arrived it was raining pretty good so we went to the old Aerodrome and checked out the museum there. The rain cleared and we spent 5 hours at the AMCA meet.Not too much of the japanese and british stuff I like, but I bought some shop hardware and a photo of motorcycle chariot races from 1937. There was a better showing of the engine and tractor crowd this year and it was interesting to learn about someone else's hobby. They had an auction this year that was new, and the Wall of Death was there again. Anyone looking for a cool event check out Rhinebeck AMCA meet. It's in a beautiful area of NY along the Hudson and makes a nice overnighter trip. The ride back was long even in a car, so on a bike up and back would be a little dangerous for my attention span.

I was going to go to this but decided not to with too much going on around the house this weekend. Now I wish I had went to see that RR.

I left a phone message with the owner to find out if it sold, but got no callback.I have club brothers that know the guy, I'll keep trying to follow up on the bike's availability.

Hmm. I'm wondering if this is the rolling chassis with no engine that was in Southeast Ohio and sold on eBay in November of 2004. I'm still interested.

No news yet. I spoke briefly to Court on Friday, he has not heard anything either. #19 is possibly available. A company in California has a set of RR1200 bodywork from which they plan to make copies. Also they asked about copying my RR1000 fiberglass, which I believe is the same as the 1200, but with the bulge on the right side lower.

I hope we learn more soon on this RR1000.

I'm still trying to find out if the bike sold at Rhinebeck. My club has a ride this weekend celebrating our 100th anniversary, and there's a chance I'll run into someone who can tell me if the bike is still in Pennsylvania.
