Mr. Owens, I see you are in Winston, I'm in Clemmons,if you want to see how they all interchange, PM me and we'll set up a time that you can try my Blast cap on any of my tubers. They all interchange. Only the S2 has a unique locking cap. The barrel lock will work with any barrel key. Kevin |

Anyone run an aftermarket cap that doesn't suck? I'm a Buell nut, but I have rebuilt like 6 of the old school fuel caps for my bikes and friends....it just plain suck when they decide to not seal anymore and leak fuell all over... |

Never had one not seal. Had a couple that I've needed to file the plastic down, because they won't release....but never any leakers. |

Well what happens is the center bolt ends up not properly grabbing the black plastic an then it spins just a little bit. Because the over-center locking tab can only be layed down in 1 position, it always ends up being in a position that does not suck the black plastic bottom up enough to seal. You can "fix" it fairly easily, but once it happens once....you have to be very mindful of how much to and how gently you turn the lever. I'd love a simpler one! (and I'm with Court....one without a key!) Court: Pete has them for the XBs: http://www.grandstanddesigns.com/shop/index.php?l= product_detail&p=6 |

I would be interested to talk to people that have used both of those caps (E B R and GrandStand). It would appear that the GrandStand cap requires about 1/4 turn- what about the E B R?? It's difficult to tell by the pic, but almost looks like it screws in with more turns....if that makes any sense... |
