I know I had an angled end cap on this S1W when I bought it a year ago, as I have pictures of it. But now, there is none, and it blows straight at the rear tire. Not good I would think.
My last one had a race muffler, and it had an angled tip, and I have no experience with Vance and Hines.
Can someone tell me what fell off? I had someone work on the bike, and they said the muffler had a rattle, so I don't know if they took it off, or whether it is something that falls off on its own. It is a Buell after all.
I can't see where an angled tip would bolt or screw on. This end cap looks like it was supposed to be straight.
Any ideas guys?

My carbon fiber V&H has the angled tube coming out of the black hole that shows in your pic. But feeling inside, I can't feel any mechanical fasteners that would be the means of fastening it.
No idea if you could get only the angled piece, and if you could, if it would be easy to attach it.
I guess if you're not stuck still in traffic a lot, then hot air blowing on the rear tire, mixed with moving airflow, won't be a big deal.

It is supposed to have an angled end piece.
It bolts on via three cap screws,it also holds the baffle in place.

Ah, ok - no wonder you can't feel the bolt heads when you reach inside the tube!

Thanks for the pics. THe shop said my baffle was loose, so I guess it got taken off to fix that problem.
I am more worried about some oil or smooge coming out and making the tire slick. Hasn't happened yet. I will make a tip and weld it on.

I have the exact same problem, glad to know i'm not the only one. I guess when I get the repack kit from American Sport Bike i'll get a tip welded on, one word of advice...JB Weld doesn't hold very well on that tip either..lol

I've been riding like that for a while, and have had some good lean angles and haven't noticed a problem yet...

Harold i would ask the shop if they still have the end cap.

Nein, the baffle replacement kit is cheap from asb,my baffle has destroy itself twice.you can see the left over on the above pics.In the end i welded on a piece of car exhaust baffling, its alot thicker and stronger, and cheap from a mate.
