I have had this S1W for about a year now, and it has the crossroads bars-1 think think they are called. My last one had stock bars, and I never remember being blinded by the sun reflecting off of anything. When I finally rode this bike in the FL sun, I couldn't see where I was going.
I painted the chrome flat piece of the bars grey( which almost matched the tank), thinking about how much it cost the factory to make it chrome. That helped a lot, but now I am still getting it from the instrument panel now.
Anyone else have this problem? Maybe I am at a slightly different angle over the tank with these bars than stock, which is putting my eyes in a different location causing my to catch the sun's reflection. In the middle of the day, it didn't even matter which direction you were heading, it was like a mirror.
My next thing is to paint the panel around the gauges, but that is going to be more work that painting the crossroads chrome.

It's not chrome, it's polished aluminum.

You could always bead-blast it if you like. But, it's just an unfortunate mix of your height and the sun's angle. I've had the same bars on my S1W and from time to time I'm blinded as well.

Gas cap does it too if all the variables line up.

This will burn the bottom side of your chin on a sunny day. Sunscreen.

You could also use a scotchbrite pad and sand it until it looks like brushed alum on both pieces. Both bare polished aluminum not chrome.

I bead blasted my Crossroads baseplate and top of the bars, my dash is at a different angle than yours so don't get blinded by that. I get glare from the gas cap when I use a taller bar.
