In 5th gear, WOT, around 100mph, it feels like I am running out of gas. When I slow down from doing that, I have to wait a bit to throttle or I get the same feeling. Shortly after it returns to normal. Otherwise, the bike runs fine, WOT through the gears up until the upper end of 5th it pulls great. Any ideas? I have a K&N and Supertrapp.

Two things that will cause that: A weak gas tank vent or possible trash build up around the filter inside the tank. Just a couple in what could be a dozen possible causes.

Next time it does it, pop the little flipper on the fuel cap to release tank pressure. If that fixes it, you have a bad vent tube.

I have the same issue with my S1. I've replaced the petcock, cleaned out all the jet's,riden with the fuel cap unsealed, checked that the diaphragm is in one peice/seated correctly and still have this problem. New carb is my next option. What's the deal?

if you have added an aftermarket fuel filter, it may not flow enough! i had the same problem on the S1W

most likely the tank vent though
